The “D” Series dovetail bar is also known as a Losmandy dovetail bar due to its introduction on the extremely popular Losmandy G11 Mount in the early 90’s. The “D” Series dovetail bar is a 3” wide dovetail machined into a 4” wide plate and is popular on US made telescopes. The “D” Series dovetail bar is a very rigid mounting system and makes an excellent choice for large telescopes.
