I bought this to help simplify the alignment process between my piggybacked and main scopes. The first time I mounted my 80mm scope on my main 6″ refractor I was really impressed by the smooth action and steady pointing accuracy. Using rings to adjust the centering in the past was always a pain and took much longer than I felt was needed. This device was a complete game change for me. Recently, I had a problem with the 80mm scope flopping around due to screws that loosened. I noticed the flop in some images and when I went out to observatory to investigate I immediately knew that the problem was not with the MAX Guider. It’s been a rock solid performer and has been a key part of my observatory equipment since. Worth every penny!
