Nice to see a solution to replace the inadequate pice of junk Skywatcher supplied with the AZEQ6.
Could you provide either a sleeve, or a choice of base with a different hole diameter (18mm) to fit the shaft of the AZ-EQ5 ?

Yes I could. You can order the cw20 version and include a reminder that you would like it to be for an 18mm shaft. I have a few that are not drilled for this exact purpose. Just leave a note in e comments section on the checkout page.
