Fits V Series dovetail bars. Adds additional weight for balancing OTA’s. Split clamp design grips the dovetail bar along the entire surface of the saddle and will not dent or scratch the dovetail bar. The dovetail clamp has a large “T” handle locking knob for tool free operation, spring loaded jaws, anodized aluminum and stainless steel construction. VPA- 1.75″ Long, 2.5″ Wide, .75″ Thick, Wt. 3 oz., Counterweight- 4″ Rounds, 1″ thick

The counterweight assembly attaches to the V-series dovetail bar on my CPC-1100 and let me counterbalance it when my heavy camera gets added to the back of the rear cell.

I just purchased a Classical Cassegrain and since there isn’t a front collector plate all the weight is in the rear of the unit. I bought the counterweight to balance out the scope and at the time I thought the 3.5 lb weight would be too much but after installing a 2″ EP and the diagonal the balance was perfect.

The product is well made, but the threads for the weight and the threaded rod didn’t match up perfectly. The two have seized up on me so I can’t screw/unscrew the weight. Hopefully, this isn’t a common issue.
