Description
Slow Motion control knob set. 1.625″ diameter and 1.5″ overall length with a .25″ bore and large locking set screw. Due the large size of the set screw these knobs will also work with 6mm shafts. The slow motion control knobs work perfectly with the Vixen Porta II mount but customers have reported using them with several other mounts.

Bought this as a replacement to the Vixen Porta-II stock slow motion cable/knob. Chunky with a knurled surface, it fits Vixen Porta-II mount perfectly, and stays secure. If you have a Vixen Porta-II mount is looking for a replacement to the plasticky stock knobs that annoyingly falls off frequently, then look no further!

Purchased these slow motion knobs to replace the manufacturer’s knobs on my Vixen Porta Mount ll. The original were made of plastic and had no screw to anchor them down on the rod. While they worked good, I never felt like they were substantial enough for the tripod/mount. These are solid metal and screw down with an Allen wrench. Feel really secure. Love them so far.

The knobs make my Vixen Porta mount just that bit more portable that I wanted – they don’t stick out and they stay where they are. Also, there seems to be less vibrations with these sturdy knobs than with the long-ish plastic sticks that it came with.

I got 2 sets of these knobs. Originally I had 5 inch flex handle knobs on my Porta II mount.
I had replaced the plastic handle knobs that came with the mount with 2 – 5 inch flex handle knobs.
There are 2 exposed shafts on each axis and I was covering the exposed shafts with these knobs.
But when I saw them up close I decided to replace the flex handle knobs also with these.
My attached picture is of the alt axis with the knobs on. I did the azimuth axis also.
These knobs are very functional and don’t stick out like the flex knobs do.
