Fits D Series or V Series dovetail bars. Attach the StarSense camera to a D series or V Series dovetail bar. Incorporates a split clamp design that grips the dovetail bar along the entire surface of the saddle and will not dent or scratch the dovetail bar. The dovetail clamp has a large locking knob for tool free operation, spring loaded jaws, anodized aluminum and stainless steel construction. 2.0″ Long, 4″ Wide, .75″ Thick, Wt. as shown 12 oz.

With this adapter, I am able to shift some weight forward on my SCT and avoid just adding more counterweight to my SCT when I mount a comera or heavy eyepiece. The StarSense bracket fits the adapter perfectly. Very solid.

I have one StarSense unit that I swap between a few Celestron telescopes and mounts. This ADM adaptor allows me to quickly and easily swap the device between the telescopes WITHOUT having to recenter or recalibrate in the tablet apps Like SkyPortal and SkySafari. (You can save profiles for the different scopes) I can mount it on anywhere I have a rail of either Vixen or Losmandy size. Since it is used with Celestron products I asked if I could get it with an Orange anodized knob in place of the standard Aluminum…and ADM was kind enough to oblige! This and ALL of the other ADM products I have are machined beautifully, well thought out, durable and are a joy to use!

I purchased this and along with the V-series dovetail bar to mount on top of my Celestron C11. I use this adapter to mount the Celestron finderscope. The adapter and the finderscope with the Celestron’s finder bracket combo weights in almost 2 lb. by sliding the finderscope back and forth on the dovetail I can balance the scope in DEC axis when I change from the heavy 30mm 2″ eyepiece to small 1.25″ eyepiece. Excellent product and excellent service.

When I saw this adapter on the ADM site my wish had been answered. I had been looking for away to mount my StarSense on my Celestron 11” Edge OTA in my NexDome Observatory. With the SS in its home position off center on the rear cell of the OTA it was difficult to give the camera a clear view of the sky looking through the 24” slit of the dome. I needed a solution to be able to mount the SS on the front end of the OTA close to the slit opening for an unobstructed view of the sky. I had already installed a Celestron 11” dovetail bar on the top of the OTA for my 35 mm Canon Mark 5 II using the ADM DV Camera Adapter so the SS adapter would sit in front of the camera if needed. The cool thing is the SS adapter allows me to remove the SS unit while leaving the SS mounting bracket in the adapter were my Canon camera can see the sky without obstruction. This allows the SS to be removed without changing the center calibration of the SS. I could not be happier. What a great product.

Needed a location at the end of my ADM plate to hang my Starsense unit – this was the perfect solution and keeps it safely above the mount to prevent a collision. There’s nothing like this on the market. Better yet, I can if needed, move this StarSense and handset easily between my two AVX mounts – I’m getting two for the price of one. Adding the same ADM adapter for my PoleMaster that will be mounted on my remote/transportable mount (CEM25P) very soon! Everything that’s ADM branded is of outstanding design, quality, solid, rugged, and exceptional value.
