V SERIES
The Vixen or “V” Series of telescope accessories was popularized by the Asian telescope manufacturers. The male dovetail bar is approximately 1.7” wide at its widest point and has a 75 degree dovetail angle. ADM Accessories offers a wide range of male dovetail bars to fit many of todays most popular Schmidt Cassegrain Telescopes as well as a variety of universal sized dovetailbars. ADM Accessories offers a wide range of female dovetail saddles to fit many of todays most popular telescope mounts. This includes; Celestron, Meade, Takahashi, Astro-Physics, SkyWatcher, Orion, iOptron, Software Bisque and more. Several accessories are offered for this dovetail mounting system.
D SERIES
The “D” Series dovetail bar is also known as a Losmandy dovetail bar due to its introduction on the extremely popular Losmandy G11 Mount in the early 90’s. The “D” Series dovetail bar is a 3” wide dovetail machined into a 4” wide plate and is popular on US made telescopes. The “D” Series dovetail bar is a very rigid mounting system and makes an excellent choice for large telescopes. ADM Accessories offers a wide range of male dovetail bars to fit many of todays most popular Schmidt Cassegrain Telescopes as well as a variety of universal sized dovetail bars. ADM Accessories offers a wide range of female dovetail saddles to fit many of todays most popular telescope mounts. DV SERIES
The “DV” Series dovetail system likes its name implies is a female clamping system that works with both the “V” Series dovetail bar as well as the “D” Series dovetail bar. These “DUAL” dovetail saddles are the perfect solution for todays telescope mounts since it makes each mount extremely flexible and increases your mounting options. The DUAL saddles manufactured by ADM Accessories can be used as a “slide in” or as a “tip in” dovetail saddle. Two large locking hand knobs allow the moving jaws to grip along the entire length of the saddle. This increases the overall strength of the saddle. Smaller DVPA or DUAL clamps are available for mounting optional telescope accessories. Several accessories are offered for this dovetail mounting system.
MDS SERIES
The “MDS” stands for “Mini Dovetail System” and is a ADM Accessories proprietary product. This product was offered as an alternative to the heavy and expensive Losmandy “D” Series accessories. The “MDS” Series offered amateur astronomers a lightweight, fully CNC machined, hi quality alternative. ADM Accessories offers a wide range of male dovetail bars to fit many of todays most popular Schmidt Cassegrain Telescopes as well as a variety of universal sized dovetail bars. Several accessories are offered for this dovetail mounting system. “SMALLER, LIGHTER and LESS EXPENSIVE” is how it was introduced and what continues to make it popular today.
