CGEM KNOB UPGRADE KIT
OR or BK refers to Celestron Orange or Black color parts.
CNC aluminum knobs to replace all plastic and poorly designed knobs on the CGEM. This is by far the single most important improvement you can make for your Celestron CGEM.
CGEM-OR- The complete set at 15% off individual prices. Includes two replacement saddle knobs, two replacement azimuth knobs, two spreader bar knobs, one altitude knob, one finder hole plug, and one "T" handle. All knobs are CNC machined aluminum. Type II anodizing. All stems are stainless steel. Absolutely no plastic except the bubble wrap and packaging. Available in Celestron Orange or Black. CGEM-OR-S- SUPER Upgrade Kit. Includes the nine knobs from the CGEM-OR kit plus the three rosette knobs for the tripod as well as the improved Clutch lever knobs. Available at a 25% savings over the individual knob prices.
DUAL-CGEM-SAD-OR - The perfect replacement saddle for people wishing to mount either Losmandy "D" series dovetails or Vixen "V" series dovetails. Includes Upgraded knobs, external replacement collar. Orange Anodized Knobs
CGEM-SAD-OR- Two large CNC anodized aluminum replacement saddle knobs. Includes stainless steel shaft. 2" round, 1.5" long.
CGEM-ALT-OR- Altitude adjusting knob. Includes m10 stainless threaded shaft. .250 longer than original for maximum range of motion. CNC machined from 6061 aluminum to replace the stock plastic knob.
CGEM-AZ-OR - Two large CNC'ed azimuth adjusting knobs. .250" shorter than stock knobs to reduce width. This still allows a generous range of motion for polar alignment. 2" round, 1.5" long.
CGEM-PL-OR- Replacement aluminum plug for Polar Shaft. The knurled edge was removed since it proved to be sharp to the touch. I increased the shoulder, rounded the corners and added a rubber "O" ring so the plug seats perfectly in the cast aluminum housing.
CGEM-SB-OR - Replacement spreader bar knobs. CNC aluminum. 2" round. One knob replaces the threaded knob and the other replaces the square knob.
CGEM-T-OR - Replacement Altitude locking Knob. The knob is identical in length to the original. This one is CNC aluminum. The locking "T" knob is only necessary to counteract the effects of gravity. The length of the knob was not an oversight by Celestron Engineers. Longer shafts available upon request.
