Object Data:Omega Centauri is the largest known globular cluster in our Milky Way. It has a distance of 17000 lightyears and an absolute diameter of about 150 lightyears - in the sky it has more than the apparent size of our Moon and appears as a fuzzy star of 4th magnitude !

Telescope: Takahashi FSQ 106 at f/8
Autoguider: SBIG ST-4
Camera: Canon EOS Digital Rebel 

Exposures: 10 at 300 seconds, ISO 800.  

Notes: Images were aligned, calibrated and stacked using Image Plus.   Final adjustments, color balance and sizing were done in Photoshop.
